I offer these case studies in order to align you to the healing possibilities that open up when we understand consciousness to be the prima materia. Mostly, I am describing what happens as my imagination interacts with ‘the field.’ In an in-person treatment, this is what guides my hands to apply resonant attention, allowance, and light touch to the client’s fully-clothed body; online, I am just applying attention and allowance and ask the person to place their hands on different locations on the body, though I also use my hands as if we were working in person. Everything I describe is profoundly different than allopathic medical treatment and even most bodywork.

My scan of Heather’s body first showed an old head injury. The back of her skull seemed numb. “It’s funny,” she said, “when I was a teenager I had a concussion and then I kept hitting my head, like three more times. Then it stopped happening.”

I explained that, in the bodywork world, this was anecdotally supported. One head injury seems to open the door for more, as if the body starts subconsciously trying to dislodge the damage from the first incident. Traumatic Brain Injuries are really satisfying to treat with Resonant Attention and Integrative Manual Therapy. We can do so much to improve circulation, resolve scarring, and even repair tissue while being non-invasive.
