I offer case studies in order to align you to the healing possibilities that open up when we understand consciousness to be the prima materia. Mostly, I am describing what happens as my imagination interacts with the informational field. In an in-person treatment, this is what guides my hands to apply resonant attention, allowance, and light touch to the client’s fully-clothed body; online, I am just applying attention and allowance and ask the person to place their hands on different locations on the body, though I also use my hands as if we were working in person. Everything I describe is profoundly different than allopathic medical treatment and even most bodywork. Ryan was a dad who likes to use low-cost, easily accessible methods to help his young kids heal. He didn’t have any pressing issues, just wanted to have a session with me to reaffirm his understanding of resonant attention.

After saying a prayer, I scanned down to his midsection, where I was stopped by what seemed like white tendrils of calcification all around his diaphragm. I thought of a rugby player pushing through a scrum and asked Ryan if he’d ever played. At first, he told me he hadn’t, but when I asked what his emotional life had been like at twelve years old, he told me that was when he had gone out for the rough sport and been humiliated.

Rugby season can be rough on the psyche
