Intentional Prayer

Because you asked...

Hi friends -

Many students ask for the intention-setting prayer that I use. Depending on the person, I may say this silently or aloud. It helps me to step into ritual space and focus my attention.

Though highly simplified, each part of it is meaningful to me, representing all the parts of my heritage, plus the four directions. Originally, I felt foolish reciting this, but, over the years, I’ve come to understand the deep importance of such a practice. In addition to priming my own attention and intention, it also communicates with the living world around and therefore elicits support. I now consider reciting it before I practice to be non-negotiable. I love the feeling that comes over me once I’ve said it: calm, focused, supported, and in love.

Angels, Apus, Pachamamas, Quan Yin, Bhodisattvas, Ascended Masters, Elohim, Star Nations... All those living in the light and serving the Law of One... Please be with us... Please help us to achieve our highest good... Please protect this medicine space as we work... Please facilitate open and honest communication with respect to all life... We dedicate this session to Gaia.
