In Colombia, the New Year is celebrated by burning the Old Year in effigy. Shenanigans—running around the neighborhood wearing yellow underwear over your clothes, eating grapes, and carrying a suitcase—also feature prominently. These traditions resound with cultural significance, no doubt, but, personally, I carry them forward for the obvious reasons: Fire and fun. I invite you to indulge these primal urges, too—and if you feel like stuffing your Ano Viejo with little notes that announce to the universe what you’re releasing and calling in for the coming year, you can make a sweet little ceremony of it. But my uncles just shoved firecrackers in there before setting the Old Man in the middle of the street, where all the children were playing. Viva la Santa!
Presuming that I will be recovered by then, I have updated my online session offerings. Please sign up for only one! I have also added a group healing session on January 7th. You can find the links for both here.
I can’t tell you how much your participation in these offerings has meant to me this year. Your stepping into deep resonance with your own power to heal yourself will heal us all. Profound gratitude to you for taking these steps, though they may feel awkward at first. You’re all doing so phenomenally well! I am proud of us all for our sincere efforts.
Many of you know that I will be suspending my in-person sessions in Rhode Island for much of this winter so that we can travel with Cary. Look me up in Costa Rica if you’re needing hands-on work near San Jose!
Love,
Stella
